Did Beyoncé Just Throw Shade At Kim Kardashian In DJ Khaled’s Song?
Fans are convinced that Beyoncé slammed Kim Kardashian in her recent collaboration with DJ Khaled, “Top Off.”
In the song, Beyoncé sings, “I’m the only lady here, still the realest [expletive] in the room / I break the Internet, top two and I ain’t number two.” Fans of the singer linked the lines from the song to Kardashian’s Paper magazine cover, where the words “Break the Internet” were shown.
Jay-Z, who is also featured in Khaled’s “Top Off,” had a complicated relationship with Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West. But last year, Jay-Z revealed that the two of them are repairing their relationship.
“I talked to Kanye the other day, just to tell him, like, he’s my brother. I love Kanye. I do. It’s a complicated relationship with us… ‘Cause you know – Kanye came into this business on my level. So I’ve always been like his big brother. And we’re both entertainers. It’s always been like a little underlying competition with your big brother,” he told the New York Times.
Meanwhile, other fans are also convinced that Beyoncé might have thrown shade at Kardashian’s half-sister, Kylie Jenner. The 20-year-old cosmetics mogul gave birth to her daughter on Feb. 1, and her announcement knocked Beyoncé’s birth announcement of her twins, Rumi and Sir, on Instagram as the most-liked post on the social media platform.
On Twitter, several fans also shared their theories on what “Top Off” is about, as well as whether or not Beyoncé threw shade at the Kardashian-Jenner siblings.
One fan said that Beyoncé threw a whole tree of shade at the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan by singing those lines to the song. Another fan shared a video of Beyoncé dancing, as though she is celebrating the success of “Top Off.”
“Top Off” was released on Friday, and the song is featured in Khaled’s 11th studio album “Father of Asahd.” The music video for “Top Off” heavily features the music producer, as well as his adorable son, Asahd Tuck Khaled.
