Did EXO's Kai, F(X)'s Krystal Go On A Date While He Was Recovering From An Injury? Fans Slam Date Photos
EXO's Kai and f(x) member's Krystal's relationship has been under scrutiny since their dating news came out in March.
The latest rumor plaguing the couple claims that Kai reportedly went on a date with Krystal while he was supposed to be recovering from an injury and had to sit out several EXO performances. A Pann user shared photos of the EXO member's alleged date with his girlfriend in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, claiming that they were taken in early August. See the photos here.
Earlier this month, an SM rep confirmed that Kai will be taking some time off to recover from an ankle injury he sustained during his group's "EXO Planet #3 – EXO’rDIUM" tour and will not be joining his members (Suho, Xiumin, Lay, Chanyeol, Chen, Baekhyun, D.O and Sehun) in performing their new single "Lotto" on music shows. “In order to focus on treatment of Kai’s ankle, Kai will unfortunately not be taking part in broadcast promotions. He did participate in the album recording and music video filming," the source told News1 (via Soompi).
However, EXO fans quickly debunked the Pann post's claim, pointing out that the couple in the photos were not even Kai and Krystal. The snapshots were apparently taken on Aug. 6 or 7, and at this time, Krystal was in Italy for a photoshoot. The source who took and spread the photos has reportedly admitted that the couple in the photos were not the two singers.
Another EXO fan shared a photo of the SM group taken on Aug. 25 showing the boys having dinner together. "Look at Kai, he's skipping his whole promotion for the repackage. This picture was taken on Aug. 25 and his ankle was still bad," the user wrote.
This comes after CCTV photos of Kai and Krystal's date surfaced online on Sunday, Aug. 28. The pictures were allegedly leaked online by the "Escape the Room" cafe where the two had their date, and the staff of the cafe quickly came under fire for spreading the photos taken from the CCTV, AllKPop reported.
