Did Jennifer Lawrence Tie The Knot With Cooke Maroney?
It seems Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney may have just tied the knot.
According to Page Six, the Oscar-winning actress and her fiancé were reportedly spotted at a courthouse in New York City. The media outlet reported an eyewitness, who was present inside the marriage bureau, tweeted that he saw J-Law and her fiancé walk past him to tie the knot.
“When you go get your marriage license and Jennifer Lawrence walks by to tie the knot before your eyes. Yeah, kids, City Hall is COOL. The place to go!” the eyewitness shared in a now-deleted tweet.
Maroney was seen wearing a white sweatshirt while J-Law was wearing a gray blazer and jeans.
As the speculations of their marriage continue to grow, fans are already showering the couple with congratulatory messages on social media. But they also shared that they are not at all surprised by such a low-key wedding.
For the uninitiated, Maroney proposed to Lawrence in February 2018 and they began their relationship in the spring of 2018.
While talking about her marriage plans recently, she told Catt Sadler in her podcast that she was literally in tears after she organized a bachelorette party at the last minute and none of her close friends could make it to the occasion.
She also shared that saying “yes” to Maroney’s proposal was a “very easy decision” and insisted that she was not at all nervous about all the preparations related to her marriage.
“I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully and you know, he is my best friend. I feel very honored to become a Maroney,” Lawrence told Sadler.
“I have been in a good place. I have not been neurotic about it. I am like, too lazy to be neurotic. I saw a dress I liked, I was like, ‘That’s the dress.’ I saw a venue, I was like, ‘Cool, we got the venue too.’”
Meanwhile, Lawrence will be seen next in the “Untitled Lila Neugebauer Project” alongside Brian Tyree Henry. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in 2020.
