Did Meghan Markle Wear 'Hijab' Incorrectly? Duchess Accused Of ‘Disrespecting’ Muslims

Meghan Markle was recently accused of not wearing the hijab properly. The Duchess of Sussex stepped out with the head covering during her second day in South Africa.

According to multiple sources, Prince Harry’s wife channeled Princess Diana during her outing. Years ago, the Princess of Wales also covered her head with a headscarf.

Since Princess Diana’s hair was much shorter than Markle’s, the late royal managed to cover most of her hair during her previous outing. Markle’s hair, on the other hand, was shown in front and under the hijab.

But according to “Today,” Markle and Princess Diana both wore a headscarf during their respective royal engagements in South Africa. But there was no mention that they were actually wearing a hijab.

On the Sussex Royal Instagram account, one royal fan said that the former actress obviously doesn’t know how to wear a hijab.

“You obviously don’t care how disrespectful you are by wearing the hijab like that— you are supposed to cover your hair, arms, and chest. Get it together! ” the fan wrote.

“She Looks deranged. Why bother with a headscarf if you are not putting it on decently? She looks sloppy and ill groomed,” another person commented.

Another person said that Markle looks like a homeless woman in the photo. Another person slammed the fact that photos of Markle staring into the horizon have dominated her and Prince Harry’s social media account.

But there were also some royal fans who came to the Duchess of Sussex’s defense. One of them said that Muslims sometimes don’t cover their head completely but no one makes a big fuss out of it.

“The woman next to her, an actual Muslim had the scarf fall off her head. Wore it like Meghan. Take a rest,” the royal fan wrote.

“There are actual Muslims there with hair partially covered. Take a chill pill,” another royal fan commented.
