Did Selena Gomez Just Apologize To Justin Bieber After Sofia Richie’s Rumored Boyfriend Deleted His Instagram Account?

Justin Bieber is no longer on Instagram.

After days of threatening online action, the “Sorry” crooner has officially deleted his Instagram account.

On Sunday, Aug. 14, Bieber threatened to set his Instagram account to private if his fans continued to harass his rumored girlfriend Sofia Richie online. His post not only caused panic among Beliebers; it also started a series of public jabs from his exes, Selena Gomez and Hailey Baldwin.

Gomez, however, took to Snapchat to post an apology that seems to be related with the situation. “What I said was selfish and pointless,” wrote the 24-year-old “Kill Em with Kindness” songstress shortly after Bieber deactivated his Instagram account.

As widely reported, Bieber and Gomez had a clash in the comments of Bieber’s Instagram post, in which he threatened to make his account private. Though their comments were immediately deleted, attentive fans managed to take screenshots of their posts before they were taken down.

“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol - it should be special between you two only," Gomez wrote. "Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you."

Bieber replied: “It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still trying to point the finger this way. Sad. All love. I'm not one for anyone receiving hate.”

According to Us Weekly, the exes’ back-and-forth banter got even nastier when the Canadian pop star accused Gomez of cheating on him with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik.

In the Instagram comments of one of Bieber’s posts, Gomez slammed Bieber for being unfaithful back when they were together. “Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love,” she wrote.

Bieber fired back claiming that the “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” actress had also been unfaithful during their time together. “I cheated.. oh I forgot about You and Zayn?” he posted.
