‘Die Hard,’ ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ Among Most Rewatched Movies Of All Time

Bruce Willis’s “Die Hard” is considered to be one of the greatest action flicks of all time. Even 32 years after its release, the movie remains popular because of its unique storytelling and amazing acting. After being nominated for numerous awards at the time of its release, the film has added one more feather in its cap.

According to a new survey conducted by Now TV, the film starring Willis and Alan Rickman has been named one of the most rewatched movies of all time. The survey suggested that people have seen the original “Die Hard” movies at least 12 times in their lifetime, reports Metro.

The movie chronicles the journey of detective John McClane (played by Willis) who hopes to spend the occasion of Christmas with his estranged wife. However, the whole scenario changes when he learns about a hostage situation in an office building, and his wife is one of the hostages.

“Die Hard” received universal acclaim from the critics as well as the audiences. The movie currently holds a score of 93% on review site Rotten Tomatoes, and it was nominated for four Oscars, including Best Film Editing.

Two more movies that have been viewed as many times as “Die Hard” were “The Wizard Of Oz” and “Dirty Dancing.”

On the other hand, “Star Wars” turned out to be the only franchise to have three movies on the list. As per the survey, movies like “A New Hope,” “The Empire Strikes Back,” and “Return Of The Jedi” have been seen 11 times each.

Only three animated movies were included on the list. Many people watched Disney’s “The Lion King” and “The Incredibles” 10 times each while 2001’s Oscar-winning film “Monster’s Inc.” has also been viewed 10 times by people in their lifetime.

Other notable titles on the list included “Back To The Future,” “Mary Poppins,” “Ghostbusters,” and “The Sound Of Music.”
