Episode 3 of MTV’s “The Challenge: The Battle of The Exes 2” is set to be one emotional ride. According to the network’s synopsis for the episode “Love Sick”— which premieres on the network Tuesday— the late Diem Brown will be faced with her highly-publicized medical emergency in the episode resulting in her teammate and on-again, off-again boyfriend, Chris “CT” Tamburello, to leave the game.

In a promo for the episode, Diem can be seen hunched over in her bedroom inside the “Challenge” house in Panama while CT, 34, looks on. “I got to check up on Di. I don’t think, uh, she’s feeling so hot,” CT says. Viewers will remember that Diem failed to attend the dome elimination challenge in episode 2 after complaining of a stomachache.

The video continues showing Diem in visible pain while lying in a bed.

“You have no f---ing idea what is going on,” CT can be seen yelling at his fellow “Challenge” contestants. “You’re dealing with someone’s f---ing life. Please! Someone! Take me to the doctor,” he tells the show’s producers, his arms out in exasperation while standing next to a van.

According to a report from the Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Diem’s medical emergency occurred while the show was filming overseas in August. She is said to have been airlifted to receive medical care. While Diem was later diagnosed with her third round of cancer, MTV's producers reportedly believed she was having a bad reaction to the peanut butter used in episode 2’s “Rounding the Bases” challenge.

After previously battling ovarian cancer and undergoing a hysterectomy, Diem announced in late-August that she had been diagnosed with a more “aggressive” form of the disease which affected both her stomach and colon. The cancer later traveled to her liver and lymph nodes. During her three month battle, she was supported by many of her MTV co-stars, most notably CT who was pictured sleeping by her bedside in September.

After a decade-long battle with cancer, Diem passed away at the age of 34 in New York City Nov. 14. She was laid to rest at at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Manhattan Nov. 18. CT, who attended the service, posted this touching message to Instagram following her funeral: “You have always been My Angel. And now you have your wings... You are The Love of My Life. My reason to be a better man. I Love You Always and Forever."

MTV has dedicated Season 26 of “The Challenge” to Diem. “Challenge” star Ryan Knight, who passed away at the age of 29 on Thanksgiving, is also being honored.

“The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2” airs Tuesdays at 11 p.m. EST on MTV.
