Disney Christmas Day Parade 2020 Live Stream: Where To Watch Online, On TV
Those who love Disney but stayed away from the parks because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic can still get some feel of the annual holiday celebrations by watching the 2020 “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration,” a re-imagined version of the usual Christmas day Parade.
Due to the pandemic and certain safety restrictions, things are expected to be a little different from the usual pre-taped parade, featuring crowds in the parks as floats head down Main Street USA in Florida’s Magic Kingdom and performers bring the magic to viewers. However, according to an ABC press release, spectacular moments are still on tap, starting with the spirit being brought by this year’s co-hosts, Titus Burgess and Julianne Hough. They will introduce fun moments around the parks and heartwarming family stories, as well as Cast member highlights and a look at the Disney Dreamers Academy with Keegan-Michael Key and TikTok creator Alex Ojeda.
Viewers will also be treated to several Disney Parks sneak peeks, including Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, which will open at Epcot in Florida in 2021, as well two new Disney+ premieres—music and a performance for the film “Soul,” will be featured with a premiere date on the streamer set for Christmas Day, as well as Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision,” which streams beginning Jan. 15.
Among the performer who will be spreading good cheer with a mix of performances are Burgess and Hough with “it’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and Burgess flying solo with “This Christmas.” Becky G is also set to perform “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” and “Feliz Navidad,” and the Florida A&M University Gospel Choir will perform “Joy to the World,” and “Let It Snow,” where they’ll be joined by Tori Kelly, and “Someday at Christmas” with Keedron Bryant.
In addition, Jon Batiste will perform “It’s All Right” from “Soul,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” Maddie & Tae will perform “Holly Jolly Christmas” and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”” and Trevor Jackson will sing “The Christmas Song.”
Those planning to watch the special from home can do so when it airs on Friday, Dec. 25 beginning at 10 a.m. EST on ABC. Those who do not have access to a TV, but do have a cable subscription, can also watch the special live from any computer or smart device by the network’s own live stream, available through their Live TV feature.
