Disney Pledges Make-A-Wish Donation For Customers Who Purchase True Blue Collection
In celebration of Disney’s 40th year supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products is launching its first Wishes Come True Blue color collection, which will benefit the nonprofit organization.
Items from the collection will be available starting Oct. 22 at select Disney Parks around the world, Disney store locations in North America, and on shopDisney.com and shopDisney.co.uk.
The Wishes Come True Blue color collection will feature an array of new merchandise, including the first-ever adjustable Mickey Mouse ear headband for kids, the first cloth face masks made by Spirit Jersey, a mini backpack, a wristlet by Loungefly, leggings, and baseball caps in the signature Make-A-Wish blue hue.
“It’s been an honor to work with Disney to grant wishes and create priceless memories for so many families. I hope this new collection of Make-A-Wish-inspired items will bring joy to guests much like Disney wishes have brought joy to wish kids for the last 40 years,” Richard K. Davis, Make-A-Wish President and CEO, said in a press release.
“Disney is the largest wish-granter on earth, and we’re thankful for everyone who helps transform lives by supporting our organization and making wishes come true.”
Not only will the collection honor Disney’s longstanding partnership with the Make-A-Wish foundation, but the media and entertainment conglomerate will also donate 10,000 cloth face masks from the collection to wish kids across the US.
From now until World Wish Day on April 29, 2021, Disney will donate 25% of the purchase of any item purchased from the collection, up to US $500,000, to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
