DJ D-Nice Continues To Uplift With Virtual Dance Parties Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
Running out of things to do while in quarantine? Don't worry, DJ D-Nice has it covered. He is taking the party from the club to the comfort of your home with #ClubQuarantine.
The world-renowned DJ, born Derrick Jones, made his Instagram page one of the hottest places to be on the internet amid the coronavirus pandemic. With a series of virtual dance parties, he delivers the hits ranging from today's top artists to classic old school jams, all from his home.
The event, advertised as "Homeschool" by the 49-year-old, has garnered hundreds of thousands of viewers, and that number is only bound to grow as people around the globe search for ways to keep themselves entertained. His follower count has already increased by 1.2 million since March 21, according to the Wayback Machine.
Some of #ClubQuarantine's virtual attendees include the world's top celebrities like Drake, Oprah, Michelle Obama, Donnie Walhberg, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and even Democratic candidates Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
DJ D-Nice, overwhelmed with the outpouring of support, shared a post showing his gratitude.
"I had a tearful moment this morning after realizing that we all came together as a global community and danced while I played music in my living room," the caption read. "It was beautiful to experience and I’m truly humbled by the amount of love I’ve received. Thank you to everyone that supported me on this journey. Let’s continue to uplift each other as we get thru this dark time."
Days earlier, he echoed the same sentiment and thanked a laundry list of celebrities.
D-Nice wrote, "I never would’ve imagined that the best party I would create and DJ would be from the comfort of my own home. Homeschool is a thing! Yesterday was absolutely insane. The amount of artists and friends that virtually partied with me far exceeded my expectations. I’m feeling nothing but gratitude. Thanks to all of you that supported. This has been a great way to keep our spirits high. Blessings! Sending some love to my family. Shout out to all of my industry execs! Much love to all of the artists!"
