With Labor Day acting as a federal holiday, many businesses and services are closed for the day. Those package deliveries that consumers are looking to be delivered may also be delayed as several of the delivery services that typically operate are closed for the holiday. Here are the operating schedules for mail and package delivery services on Labor Day.

FedEx

FedEx (FDX) deliveries will stop on Labor Day as the company’s Express, Ground, Home Delivery, Smart Post, Trade Network, and Freight are all closed for the holiday. The company, however, does have a FedEx SameDay delivery service that operates 365 days a year for consumers looking to send or receive packages on Monday.

UPS

UPS (UPS) is also closed for Labor Day and will suspend all shipping and delivery services for the holiday. However, UPS does have an Express Critical service, which it will operate for packages that need to arrive on Labor Day. The cost of handling may be more to send these packages, but it will arrive on Monday.

USPS

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is also closed for Labor Day and will not be delivering mail or packages on this day. The postal service does have a Priority Mail Express Service that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year for critical deliveries. These mailings will cost more but will arrive at their destination on Labor Day.

Amazon

Because Amazon (AMZN) uses several carriers for the delivery of its packages, its deliveries will not occur on Labor Day. The company said on its website that its shipping methods do not apply to holiday schedules. Orders from Amazon, expected to arrive on Labor Day will be delayed and most likely will arrive after the holiday.

Shares of Amazon stock were down 0.28 percent as of 10:37 a.m. ET on Friday while shares of UPS stock were up 1.03 percent and shares of FedEx stock were up 1.39 percent at the same time.
