'Doctor Strange 2': Anson Mount Aces Superhero Landing In First Rehearsal [Watch]
Anson Mount, who portrayed Black Bolt's character in the "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," has shared a video with his fans featuring the behind-the-scenes moments of the movie. The clip shows Mount rehearsing a superhero landing.
In the video, shared on his Twitter page Wednesday, the 49-year-old actor can be seen hanging near the ceiling with help of the wires. As soon as he removes one of the hooks from his waist, he drops to the floor smoothly like a superhero.
The actor revealed it was his first rehearsal and thanked the entire stunt team, including producer Richie Palmer.
"First 'Dr. Strange' rehearsal: landing nailed," he captioned his post. "Thanks to the incredible stunt team and to producer Richie Palmer for making me feel so welcome so quickly… despite the wedgie."
"Hey Anson, just wanna let you know that you are the reason I've watched Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 28 times. I watch your part and then leave. I hope you come back for more stuff in the MCU," one user commented.
Some fans wondered if the actor was using an actual suit or if it was "all VFX." "Looked entirely CG, same with Mister Fantastic," one person suggested.
Black Bolt appeared in the movie as a member of Illuminati. According to the Marvel comic book, Illuminati is a secret society that features various superheroes, including Black Bolt, Iron Man, Mister Fantastic, Doctor Doom and Magneto.
The post-credit scenes of the movie confirmed the introduction of Charlize Theron in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Clea. The 46-year-old actress also shared a close-up image of her character wearing purple makeup last week.
"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" was dropped in theaters on May 6. The movie, helmed by Sam Raimi, also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Xochitl Gomez, John Krasinski, Patrick Stewart, Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Before "Doctor Strange 2," Mount was seen in the TV series "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" as Captain Christopher Pike. The actor will be next featured in a movie, titled "MK Ultra," which is under post-production.
