'Doctor Strange 2' Theory: How Mysterio Can Return As A Real Superhero

“Doctor Strange 2” is going to introduce the fans to the multiverse in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is an opportunity to have many fun cameo characters, and according to a new theory, one of these characters can be Mysterio as a regular superhero.

The MCU version of Mysterio was played by Jake Gyllenhall, and the character was a fraud who took the help of a team of scientists to act like a superhero. According to a theory by CBR, the character may return in the upcoming film and this time he may be shown as a regular superhero.

The multiverse is filled with different versions of the same characters, which means there could be someone who could be a villain in one universe and a hero in another. According to the theory, the actor who is a good fit to play another version of Mysterio is Bruce Campbell.

The upcoming film is the start of a new phase of Marvel movies, and that means there is scope for fun and humor. Campbell was previously rumored to be in the race to play Mysterio for “Spider-Man” movies, which didn’t materialize, but he may get his chance now.
