'Doctor Strange 2': Unexpected Comic Book Characters To Appear, Kevin Feige Teases

There will be a few unexpected characters from the comic books that will be featured in “Doctor Strange 2,” according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Benedict Cumberbatch’s character Stephen Strange will be travelling to different worlds in the upcoming film in order to protect earth, and he will be joined by a few other heroes who will help him in his fight.
So far, the only confirmed characters in the film, apart from the protagonist, are Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Wong (Benedict Wong). However, there will be a few other unexpected character who will be joining the superhero team of the sorcerer.
Feige teased some details about the upcoming film while speaking at the New York Film Academy recently, CBR reported. He spoke about the process of putting together a team for Stephen Strange as he takes on the new challenges, and the filmmakers carefully considered who could fit in this role for the movie. The result of this process was that they chose a few characters from the comic books that that fans will apparently not be able to guess.
According to rumors about “Doctor Strange 2,” the two new comic book character who are expected to make their debut are Jericho Drumm and Clea, CBR reported. In the comics, Jericho Drumm was also known as Brother Voodoo and he also held the title of Sorcerer Supreme. Clea used to be a student of sorcery under Stephen and she later became his wife.
According to one of the theories about the film, Scarlett Witch may set the plot in motion by attempting to bring back Vision (Paul Bettany), Screen Rant reported. If she warps reality to do this, it can have unintended consequences in the multiverse that Stephen will have to fix.
“Doctor Strange 2” will be directed by Scott Derrickson. It will be released on May 7, 2021.
