‘Doctor Who’ Season 9 Spoilers: Episode 2 Sneak-Peek Video And Photos Released; See The Doctor Face Davros
Can The Doctor finally kill his oldest enemy? “Doctor Who” Season 9, episode 2, may answer that question when the 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi) faces off against Davros (Julian Bleach). In a sneak-peek video, The Doctor appears willing to kill the leader of the Daleks.
The clip shows The Doctor holding a Dalek gun to Davros’ head. “You would threaten a dying man?” Davros asks. “Have I not suffered enough?”
The Doctor tells Davros to leave the room. “I cannot leave this chamber. It sustains me,” Davros says.
“Get out!” The Doctor yells while pushing the gun into Davros’ head.

According to the synopsis, killing Davros is The Doctor’s “greatest temptation,” but that doesn’t mean he’ll finally do away with his enemy. He might show mercy -- assuming he can get Clara (Jenna Coleman) back.
The Doctor will also have to make sure he doesn’t get killed first. New photographs show the time traveler facing off against the Daleks. The episode looks quite dark, but there may be some hope eventually. Missy (Michelle Gomez) also can be seen facing the aliens, despite her dying in the Season 9 premiere episode. The Time Lord formerly known as the Master seems to have cheated death once again, but Clara doesn’t appear in the photos. Will the Doctor be able to save them both?

Typically, nobody would worry about a companion dying in the season premiere, but Coleman recently declared she is leaving the series. The actress, who has already booked her next gig as Queen Victoria in an ITV show, confirmed she has filmed her final scenes in “Doctor Who,” but didn’t say which episode was her last. She could leave at any time, but would she really leave in the first episode of the season?
“Doctor Who” Season 9, episode 2, airs on BBC America Saturday at 9 p.m. EDT.
