Dodgers vs. Astros World Series Game 1: TV Channel, Start Time, Live Stream Info
The Los Angeles Dodgers (104-58) seek their first title since 1988 when they host the Houston Astros (101-61), who are looking for their first ever title, in Game 1 of the best-of-seven World Series on Monday night.
The Dodgers won the National League Championship Series over the defending champion Chicago Cubs in five games, while the Astros held off the New York Yankees in seven games in the American League.
Both teams send their lefty aces to the mound, as the Astros' Dallas Keuchel faces off against the Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw. Both Keuchel and Kershaw are former Cy Young winners.
The series pits excellent bats against excellent pitching. The Astros had the best offense in baseball this season, finishing with 896 runs. The Dodgers had the second-best ERA (3.38).
Dave Roberts' squad is 4-0 at Dodger Stadium in the postseason. In the regular season, Los Angeles had the best home record (57-41). Houston shared the best road record (53-28) with the Cleveland Indians. A.J. Hinch's squad finished third in run differential (+196).
The Dodgers welcome back star shortstop Corey Seager, who will start in Game 1. The 23-year-old missed the NLCS with a back injury.
Houston has never won a World Series game. The Astros reached the World Series in 2005, but were swept by the Chicago White Sox.
