Does Brad Pitt Really Want Full Custody of Kids With Angelina Jolie?
They still have not reportedly come to terms on a set custody arrangement for their six kids, but new reports which claim that Brad Pitt has requested he get full custody of his children from Angelina Jolie have been confirmed as false.
Gossip Cop has refuted a recent story by Life & Style Magazine, which claimed that Pitt, 53, was asking for full custody of the six children he shares with estranged wife, Angelina Jolie, 42. Sources told the site that the reports were false and that there is no custody war in the works for the former couple.

The story initially claimed that despite Pitt’s comments in his May GQ interview, where he said he and Jolie were working together to finalize things and that they were hopeful they would eventually work something out, things had since “gone back at square one when it comes to battling over custody of their kids.”
The source claimed that when Pitt recently paid Jolie a visit at her home, he told her he would “raise the kids” because he “believes the kids are better off being watched by him in LA rather than traveling the globe with Angelina.”
The source said that the mother of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne then became livid at the suggestion.
“Angelina listened to the pitch, but she was livid at his suggestion. She said he was clueless and delusional,” the source maintained. “Angie got mad that Brad was even proposing being a full-time dad, because this is what she had been asking for during the marriage.”

The article also suggested that Pitt was refusing to back down from that stance and told Jolie she was “being completely unreasonable,” while she has also dug her heels in and vowed to “make sure she’s the primary caregiver.”
Though the report has been deemed false, it isn’t the first time that the pair’s custody battle has reportedly gotten heated. After announcing their separation in September 2016, it was quickly released that Pitt was being investigated by both the FBI and Child and Family Services for abuse allegations after an incident with Maddox while on a family flight. He was later cleared of all charges.
He opened up about the situation in the same GQ interview where he discussed custody talks, admitting that he had since become clean of drugs and alcohol since his marriage ended.
“… I can’t remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn’t boozing or had a spliff, or something. And you realize that a lot of it is, um—cigarettes, you know, pacifiers,” he said at the time. “And I’m running from feelings. I’m really, really happy to be done with all of that. I mean I stopped everything except boozing when I started my family. But even this last year, you know—things I wasn’t dealing with. I was boozing too much. It just became a problem. And I’m really happy it’s been half a year now, which is bittersweet, but I’ve got my feeling in my fingertips again. I think that’s part of the human challenge: You either deny them all of your life or you answer them and evolve.”
