Does Kim Zolciak Approve Of Daughter Brielle’s Engagement To Michael Kopech?
Kim Zolciak has opened up on what she really thinks of daughter Brielle Biermann’s longtime boyfriend Michael Kopech. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star has also revealed if she approves of the idea of the two getting engaged.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Zolciak admitted that she does like the 21-year-old professional basketball player for her daughter. “I really do like Michael a lot,” she said before adding, “I think he’s a very well-rounded young man. To be so young, so focused, so driven.”
When asked if she is going to accept Kopech to be the fiancé of her daughter, Zolciak said, “His family’s great. I wouldn’t have a problem with it, honestly. They have my blessing.”
The reality TV actress further gushed about the possibility of Biermann marrying her boyfriend at the age of 20. “I think she’s young. I do think she’s young,” she said. “But back in the day, you know, what, 25, 30 years ago you know, getting married at 18, 19, 20 was [the norm].”
Biermann has previously revealed that she already wants to get engaged with Kopech. She has also admitted that before getting more serious with her romantic life, she first wants to be independent and live on her own. At present, she still lives with her family in Atlanta.
While Biermann already wants to move out, Zolciak claims she can’t imagine her eldest daughter living away from them. “She’s such a big help, I mean, picking the kids up from school … [or] I need something at the grocery store, or whatever … the little ones love her. I can’t imagine, I mean, she picks ’em up at school and they think they’re so cool.”
It’s not surprising that Zolciak is in no rush for Biermann to move out; she after all enjoys the company of her family. Just this Tuesday night, Zolciak, her husband Kroy Biermann and all of their kids were even spotted stepping out for dinner at Catch in Los Angeles.
The family outing comes after Zolciak’s feud with “RHOA” co-star NeNe Leakes intensified. The former apparently obtained legal counsel after the latter accused her of being “racist” during their social media exchange, according to People.
