Does Meghan Markle Use Royal Visits To Prepare For Commonwealth Exhibition Tour?

Meghan Markle has been doing a slew of royal visits to prepare herself for the upcoming Commonwealth Exhibition tour with Prince Harry.

The Kensington Palace announced that Markle will be attending the opening of an exhibition called Oceania that is organized by the Royal Academy of the Arts next week. The event will be in preparation of Markle and Prince Harry’s 16-day overseas tour to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and the Kingdom of Tonga.

Carly Read, a journalist for Express, said that the Duchess of Sussex’s participation at the Sept. 25 event will give her the opportunity to brush up on her knowledge of the Commonwealth.

“The Duchess of Sussex will attend the opening of Oceania at @RoyalAcademy on Tuesday 25^th September. The Duchess will view exhibits from regions including New Zealand, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and Australia, which she and the Duke of Sussex will visit in October,” the palace tweeted.

Oceania is an exhibition of art marking Captain James Cook’s first voyage to the Pacific, and the gathering will bring together 200 public and private works. It will also be Markle’s first solo engagement as a member of the royal family. The event follows the release of Markle’s cookbook in support of the families of the Grenfell fire victims.

In related news, Markle also made headlines this week after it was reported by People that she may be reuniting with her mom, Doria Ragland, soon. The yoga instructor was photographed at the Los Angeles airport on Tuesday. The 61-year-old was also accompanied by an airport staff that helped her with her luggage.

Ragland will be celebrating her 62^nd birthday this month, so it is possible that she will be flying to London to spend time with her daughter. Next week, Ragland may also show her support for Markle’s first solo engagement by attending Oceania with her only child.

A source previously told the publication that Markle and Ragland are very close to each other.

“Meghan draws a lot of strength from her mother. Doria is classy, chic, and confident, but not unapproachable,” the source said.
