Does Tinsley Mortimer Regret ‘Scary’ Decision To Quit ‘Real Housewives Of NYC’?
During last week’s episode of “Real Housewives of New York City,” Tinsley Mortimer revealed that she would be leaving the Bravo reality series to move to Chicago to be with her now-fiancé, Scott Kluth.
Tinsely isn’t the first cast member to quit the series. Carole Radzwill left the show in 2018, meanwhile, fan-favorite Bethenny Frankel left the series in 2019. Both stars claimed to be content with their decisions, and it appears Tinsley is also satisfied with her choice.
During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” Tinsley was asked if she regretted leaving NYC for Chicago. However, the 44-year-old revealed she was confident about her decision to make “RHONY” Season 12 her last appearance on the series.
“Not at all. I absolutely — not at all. It was something that at that moment I knew — it was scary. But I knew that I had to trust myself,” she said.
“I really followed my heart and my gut, and I knew it was the right decision. It was sad, it was scary, all of it. But you know what? I knew it was right, and I had to do it, and I knew if I didn’t do it, I would regret it, and the outcome has been amazing.”
Even though Tinsley has embraced her new life in the windy city, she still has great memories of her time in NYC.
“I actually really love Chicago. Even when it was off and on for about three years we dated, and I came to Chicago lots of times. I am a city girl, and I love New York, obviously, so much. Chicago’s like a smaller New York, and it’s great ... I’m very happy here,” she said.
Last week, Tinsley said goodbye to her time on “The Real Housewives of New York City” with an Instagram post featuring photos and videos of her time on the cast.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my fans and friends who supported me and are happy for my fairy tale ending,” she wrote in a lengthy caption.
“Without #RHONY, I would never have met my prince charming, Scott. Being a Housewife was such a fun experience, and I thank @bravoandy, and all the wonderful people at Shed Media and @bravotv,” she added.
“Real Housewives of New York City” Season 12 airs Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
