Doja Cat almost missed her Grammys 2022 onstage acceptance as she revealed during her speech that she was taking a "piss" when her name was announced.

"I’ve never taken such a fast piss in my whole life," the 26-year-old rapper said after rushing toward the stage to collect her first Grammys.

One of the fans took to Twitter to share footage of Cat running towards the stage to collect her award for Best Pop Duo or Group Performance for her music track, "Kiss Me More," which was dropped on April 9, last year.

Cat's co-creator of the music track, SZA, was already on the stage before the rapper arrived. "I am glad you made it back in time," SZA told Cat.

The rapper gave an emotional speech after controlling her heaving breaths. "I like to downplay sh-t but this? It’s a big deal," she noted. "Thank you everybody."

"I really appreciate it," she continued with teary eyes. "Thank you to everybody. My friends, my family, my team. I wouldn’t be here without you and I wouldn’t be here without my fans and you know what SZA you are everything to me. You are incredible. You are the epitome of talent. Be safe, take care."

In the same category, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco, Coldplay and BTS were also nominated for "I Get a Kick Out of You," "Lonely," "Higher Power" and "Butter," respectively.

Cat was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year category for the same music track. She was also nominated in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category for "Need to Know" and in the Best Rap Song category for "Best Friend."

Two days before the event, Cat took to Twitter to prank her fans by tweeting about her pregnancy and suggesting that Nicolas Cage hacked her account.

However, Cat later clarified that it was just a prank.

"HAHAHAH U ALL JUST GOT PRANKED!" she tweeted over the weekend. "I don’t have telekinesis, nicholas cage never hacked me, i’m not preganant, i don’t have butt shots, and i never pooped on the stage!!! HAHAHAHAH HAHA YOU FELL FOR IT. HAH STUPID. USE UR BRAINS. so silly."
