Dolcetta Artisan Sweets issued a recall of its chocolates after it was revealed that they may contain traces of undeclared milk and soy, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said Tuesday.

The presence of allergens – milk and soy – was found during a routine inspection by the FDA, causing the company to pull the products from the market. According to the FDA, chocolate confections containing the two allergens were distributed in packaging that was not clear about the presence of milk and soy in the products.

The products affected have been listed below:

1. Black and Tan Bar

2. Dark Chocolate Coconut Bar

3. S'mores Bar

4. Sweet & Salty Almond Bar

5. White Chocolate Coconut Snowman

The recalled products were distributed in Washington and Oregon through retail stores, online order, as well as direct sales at markets, fairs, and festivals. They were sold between March 1, 2016 and March 1, 2017, and have no UPC numbers or codes, the FDA said in a release.

The Seattle, Washington-based company said that no illnesses have been reported after the consumption of the product to date. The products, however, can cause serious reactions if eaten by consumers who are allergic to soy or milk, or lactose intolerant.

The FDA advised consumers who purchased Dolcetta chocolate bars, truffles, and caramels, if suffering from any allergy issues, not to eat the products. The unused products can be returned to Dolcetta Artisan Sweets.

The company, which sells handcrafted chocolates, issued an apology and said consumers who have any questions can email Dolcetta at dolcettachocolate@gmail.com or call 206-280-7701 between 12 p.m. and 9p.m. EDT.

The recall comes soon after Vulto Creamery expanded its recall of cheese over possible Listeria contamination, which was linked to at least two deaths. Whole Foods also pulled raw cheese made by Vulto Creamery after the recall was announced.
