Donald Trump Approval Ratings: Polls Show President's Approval, Disapproval Worsening In Recent Weeks
President Donald Trump is coming off a tumultuous week. Federal prosecutors on Friday asked for a "substantial sentence" for his former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, for making illegal hush money payments to two women on Trump's behalf during the 2016 presidential campaign.
New polls suggest Trump faces an uphill battle ahead of him after the 2018 midterm elections. The latest Gallup shows that both Trump's poor approval and disapproval ratings have not budged.
In a Gallup poll released Monday from Dec. 3-Dec. 9, Trump had an approval rating of 40 percent and a disapproval rating of 56 percent. The figures were the same for Gallup polls conducted between Nov. 26-Dec. 2,
Tracking Gallup polls over the past two months show that Trump's disapproval rating has stayed well above 50 percent after Oct. 22. Trump's approval rating after Oct. 22 has stayed below 44 percent.
