Donald Trump Criticizes Biden In Latest ‘Sleepy Joe’ Tweet And Voters Respond
President Donald Trump took his opinions to Twitter on Tuesday after seeing Democratic nominee Joe Biden in a ‘mental fog’ while talking to reporters.
Biden made his way to Delaware County, Pennsylvania, on Monday to talk about how Trump’s administration is responding to COVID-19. He also explained how the White House stated that it wasn’t going to attempt to control the virus, according to C-SPAN.
After his time on the stage in Chester, he was bombarded by reporters, which is expected, but a video of his response to them has gone viral.
He started to say, “So here’s the deal, one of the things that’s important is that, um, keep in mind, although they’re going to vote on, uh…”
Before he could finish, his campaign staff asked the reporters to move along and cut Biden off from what he was saying. President Trump shared his thoughts on what happened on Twitter.
“They (his handlers) ripped Sleepy Joe off the stage yesterday when he got lost in a “mental fog”. A disaster. Very little reporting on this,” President Trump exclaimed.
A few Biden supporters responded to his tweet and one said, “I miss having an adult in the room. #VOTE. 7 days. #BidenHarris2020.”
Another stated, “Too bad [your] handlers couldn't pull you off stage the other day when you rambled for 15 minutes about the contract for the new Airforce 1.”
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Trump supporters were clapping back and supporting the president.
A Trump supporter tweeted, “Unreal! People actually want this man as president???? This [CAN'T] HAPPEN!!! Vote Trump and save our country!
This isn’t the first time President Trump has called Biden by a name other than his actual one. Throughout the campaign, he’s given many nicknames to his competitor.
Biden has been called “Sleepy Joe” over and over again because of the mental state President Trump believes he’s in, “Creepy Joe” for his inappropriate actions with a few women and “One Percent Joe” because President Trump doesn’t believe he did anything well until former President Obama came along, reported Business Insider.
