Donald Trump Makes Shocking Comment About Ivanka Trump; POTUS’ Supporters Commit Super Bowl Blunder
KEY POINTS
- Donald Trump credited Ivanka Trump for creating 15 million jobs
- Ivanka Trump didn't create 15 million jobs
- Donald Trump's supporters thought Jennifer Lopez's Super Bowl flag was Texas
Donald Trump recently made a shocking comment about his daughter, Ivanka Trump.
During an event to discuss human trafficking, the POTUS proudly credited the first daughter for creating over 15 million jobs.
“And now created over 15 million jobs for the people of our country. … It was going to be 500,000. ‘Daddy, I think we can do 500,000.’ Within about a week, she broke that and now she’s up to 15 million jobs. It’s fantastic,” he said.
But according to Political Flare, this statement isn’t necessarily accurate. Less than half of the figure that Trump estimated has been added to the entire workforce since 2016. Additionally, Ivanka is not the one responsible for the increase in the number of jobs.
It is possible that the POTUS was referring to Ivanka’s initiative to garner nonbinding commitments from companies to provide 14 million training opportunities in the coming years. However, job training is different from actually working.
And just three months ago, Trump claimed that Ivanka created 14 million jobs. This suggests that in just a short amount of time, 1 million jobs have been created, which is again incorrect.
Meanwhile, the POTUS also made headlines over the Super Bowl weekend after his supporters committed a huge blunder. During Jennifer Lopez’s performance, the president’s supporters were convinced that the singer was wearing the flag of Texas. However, Lopez was actually wearing the flag of Puerto Rico.
“@realDonaldTrump congratulating the state of Kansas and Trump supporters asking why @JLo is wearing a Texas flag. MAGA education in full effect tonight,” Twitter user @johnpavlovitz said.
“Someone I was watching the Super Bowl with asked if it was the Texas flag,” Twitter user @remyfoeman said.
“Lol at the people who are tweeting that @JLo was wearing the Texas flag…” Twitter user @djyniani said.
Lopez’s performance featured a group of kids, including her 11-year-old daughter, Emme, singing behind what looked like a cage. Lopez’s performance was thought to be a political statement.
