Donald Trump: Release Your Tax Returns?

“Maybe I’m going to do the tax returns when Obama does his birth certificate. I may tie my tax returns into Obama’s birth certificate,” said Donald Trump last week in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

On Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama released his long-form birth certificate, most likely in response to Trump’s recent questioning of it.

Trump isn’t shy about taking credit.

“Today, I'm very proud of myself because I have accomplished something nobody else has accomplished… [But Obama] should have done it a long time ago,” said Trump to reporters in New Hampshire on Wednesday.

Now, it may be time for Trump to release his tax returns.

Whereas Trump has questioned Obama’s personal issue of birth certificate, the media has questioned Trump on his personal issue of net worth, business success (or the lack of it), and past corporate bankruptcies.

Trump better do it soon, too.

He accused Obama of delaying the release of the birth certificate. It would certainly look bad if Trump now delays the release of his tax returns.
