Donald Trump wasn’t a big fan of Jared Kushner during the early years of his relationship with his favorite daughter, Ivanka Trump.

In the book “Kushner, Inc.,” author Vicky Ward revealed how the POTUS used to mock Kushner for forcing Ivanka to convert to Judaism. Trump also uttered belittling jokes about his son-in-law, and he cursed at Kushner after he was caught by the fed for fiddling accounts.

But when he became the president of the United States, the tables started to turn in favor of Ivanka’s husband. Trump tapped him to be one of his advisers, and there’s reportedly an obvious reason why this was the case.

Ivanka and Kushner hired Paul Manafort in the campaign, and he became in charge of the budget. Since Kushner was the one that hired him, the POTUS became aware that his son-in-law was the one who had the budgetary power.

“He had asked for, and received, his own pot money – and the candidate’s trust. Everyone knew Kushner was in charge,” Ward said.

Meanwhile, despite Trump’s initial dislike for Kushner, his wife, Ivanka stood by his side. In fact, Ivanka decided to team up and support her husband so much more than she has ever done for her brothers, Don Jr. and Eric.

The siblings weren’t also given a huge role during their father’s campaign in 2016. And according to Express, Don Jr. and Eric were also snubbed when Trump was elected.

“Ivanka appeared thrilled by her husband’s rising prominence in her father’s campaign. It was a huge change from days when Trump had made belittling jokes about him. If Don Jr. and Eric were irked by the new favorite in Trump’s court, they did not show it publicly,” Ward said.

As of late, Don Jr. and Eric have not said anything against their brother-in-law. But during a previous interview, the former admitted that he was very different from Kushner.
