‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Hallmark Channel’s “Spring Fling” programming event is set to continue with the premiere of their newest film, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” starring Italia Ricci and Ryan Paevey.
The movie will be a delight for fans eager for some Spring romance because it will unite two of the network’s stars. While Ricci’s previous Hallmark credits only consist of “Love in Winterland” and “Rome in Love,” fans may also recognize her from her roles as Emily Rhodes on “Designated Survivor” and April Carver on “Chasing Life.”
As for Peavey, who is easily recognizable from his role as Nathan West on “General Hospital,” he has a few more Hallmark titles under his belt, including “Unleashing Mr. Darcy,” “Marrying Mr. Darcy,” “Harvest Love,” “From friend To Fiancé,” “A Summer Romance,” “Christmas At The Plaza,” “Matching Hearts” and “A Timeless Christmas.” He also starred in the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries film, “Hope at Christmas.” However, this will be his first film with Ricci.
So what can fans expect? Let’s find out.
“Miranda’s (Ricci) Breakup Boot Camp, a program she developed to help heal the recently broken-hearted, is taking off,” a synopsis reads. “In her latest group is Ben (Paevey), a journalist, who despite his declarations that he’s completely unaffected by his recent break-up, agrees to attend as moral support for his sister.”
Miranda finds that Ben is a bit harder to crack than some of her other students, but is determined to rise to the challenge—however, he has a big secret.
“What she doesn’t know is that Ben’s boss has tasked him with writing an undercover exposé to see if this boot camp is the real deal or giving people false hope,” the synopsis states.
The two eventually begin to feel a connection, leading to some blooming romance—but eventually, the truth will come out, and Miranda may find herself having to take a page out of her own lesson book.
“As Ben attempts to dig deeper into Miranda’s world, she seizes the opportunity to break down his walls and their connection grows, forcing them both to face issues, long since buried,” the synopsis says. “But when Ben’s secret comes to light it threatens to derail their budding relationship, bringing these lonely hearts right back to where they started.”
“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” premieres Saturday, March 27 at 9 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
