The documentary will give a closer look at Dr. Fauci’s professional career and won’t just be about his work during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also highlight how he started his career by working at his father’s pharmacy and how he always played an important role in leading the fight against every health crisis that the country has seen recently, from SARS to AIDS, to Ebola and now COVID-19.

Speaking about the project, Hoffman and Tobias revealed that it is a “privilege” for them to bring Dr. Fauci’s “inspiring” life journey to viewers around the world.

“There is only one Dr. Fauci, and it is an incredible privilege to bring his inspiring, lifelong quest to cure disease and prevent outbreaks, to viewers around the world,” THR quoted Hoffman and Tobias, as saying.

The network has also released a 45-second clip for the upcoming documentary in which Dr. Fauci, the longest-serving public health leader in the history of Washington, can be seen sitting inside a car and taking a look at some documents.

“50 years of service, 36 years of marriage, 7 administrations, 3 daughters, 3 Pandemics, and one remarkable story. Meet the expert father, hero, husband, and man behind the numbers,” read the trailer’s description of who Fauci is.

Born on Dec. 24, 1940, Dr. Anthony Stephen Fauci went to Cornell Medical College before beginning his career at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) in 1968. The medical professional is known for his impeccable work in HIV-AIDS research, and he also helped in creating medicines for the deadly disease.

Fauci has been one of the most renowned names in the U.S. as he has worked tirelessly in eradicating diseases like the West Nile virus, Ebola, and SARS from the country.

He has also been leading the government’s efforts to control the coronavirus pandemic. However, Fauci was sidelined many times by former President Donald Trump and his suggestions were not taken seriously. As a result, the U.S. has witnessed more than 415,000 deaths due to the illness.
