‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ DLC Will Only Be Available On Xbox One, PS4 and PC
BioWare had some bad news for PS3 and Xbox 360 players of ‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ on Monday. The developer announced on the games’ official website that future content will only be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
This means that PS3 and Xbox 360 players will have to upgrade their console if they want to get the newest content when it’s released.
The one good piece of news is that BioWare will be releasing a new “Save Importer feature” during the July update (Patch 8) that allows players to migrate their games and continue playing on the newer consoles without starting from the beginning.
This is a small consolation for potentially having to fork out hundreds of dollars on a new console, and from the FAQ at the bottom of BioWare’s post it seems like it is only possible to move from PS3 to PS4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One, so if you wanted to switch consoles you’re out of luck.
It is only possible to migrate content once, so make sure you’re ready when you do, otherwise any new gameplay on the PS3 and Xbox 360 will be lost when playing on the new console. If you’re a multi-platform player moving content to and from a PC is also not yet supported.
BioWare have not said how much new content it is planning to launch in the future.
