Drake-Meek Mill Feud: Nicki Minaj’s Boyfriend Posts Emotional Quote Amid Drake Beef, Parole Violation
Meek Mill took to his Instagram account Wednesday to post an emotional message amid his feud with Drake, in which the Canadian rapper has been receiving an upper hand. The post also comes just days after Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend was accused of violating his parole for a 2009 drug and gun case.
“I remember the days I prayed for the things I have now,” the quote on Mill’s Instagram account read.
Several of Mill’s fans took to the comments section to express their support for the Philadelphia rapper, but some also slammed him over his Drake beef.
“You should of prayed for drake to bring you back to life before he murdered you cause your ghost keep texting...,” a user said, slamming Mill. Another wrote in support of Mill’s parole case: “Prayers up for u bro @meekmill God's gonna take control and u gonna come out of that court room as a free man.”
Drake and Mill’s feud, which began in July, seems to be never-ending and fans speculate that the 29-year-old singer has won the battle after his “Back to Back” diss track was nominated for the Grammy Awards. Earlier this week, social media users said that Mill may secure a win in the beef as he might receive an Oscar nomination.
The Academy Awards reportedly announced last week that 74 songs, including that from Mill and Jhene Aiko, and Ludwig Goransson's “Fighting Stronger,” have advanced in the best Original Song category for 2016. Mill took to his Instagram account Sunday to post a photo announcing the news, with the caption, “Everything dope.”
Meanwhile, Minaj reportedly accepted a personal gift from Drake without Mill’s knowledge, possibly heating up the feud between the two.
“Drake is one cold cat and so is Nicki! For her birthday, he sent her a case of Tom Ford’s Drake lipstick and the cold part about it is Nicki’s been wearing it on her lips and Meek doesn’t even know!” a source told Hollywood Life. “They’ve been texting and there was no way Drake would not reach out or send her something for her birthday. He loves everything about Nicki’s body, including her lips, and thought the lipstick was the perfect gift.”
Mill and Drake got into a public spat after the "All Eyes on You" rapper took to Twitter and told people not to compare him with Drake because he doesn't write his own rap songs. Drake responded with two diss songs, “Charged Up” and “Back to Back,” while Mill fired back with "Wanna Know."
Drake also reportedly took aim at Minaj in his mixtape with Future, titled “What a Time to Be Alive,” despite previously confessing his love to Mill’s girlfriend.
