Drake, Rihanna Not Dating? 'Hotline Bling' Rapper's Father Says 'There's No Relationship'
Rihanna and Drake fans are ecstatic about the recent developments regarding the rumored couple's relationship. However, Drake's father, Dennis Graham, is not on board the happiness mobile. He has squashed rumors linking the “Hotline Bling” rapper to the “Work” singer.
In an interview with TMZ, the OVO Sound owner's father said there is nothing romantic going on between the two and insisted that his son and Rihanna are “just friends.”
When asked if Drake has shared plans to settle down, Graham reiterated that the two are just friends. Graham also made it very clear that “there is no relationship.”
Rumors that the rapper and the singer have finally left the friend zone started swirling when the “Diamonds” singer got a tattoo of a camouflage shark on her foot. Drake was also spotted wearing the same tattoo on his arm. Many believe that the tattoos are a sign that they have taken their relationship to the next level. They are reportedly a symbol commemorating the time Drake took Rihanna to an aquarium in Toronto and gave her a stuffed camouflage shark.
The artist who tattooed Rihanna was asked by Complex to shed some light on what the ink means, but he kept mum about it, saying it was something personal for the singer. He did tease that giving the singer that specific tattoo was his favorite tattooing experience with Rihanna.
The two reignited rumors that they are dating when Drake presented Rihanna the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The rapper professed his love for the singer, saying he has been in love with her since he was 22 years old. Rihanna has replied to Drake's speech via an Instagram post, saying it was a “sweet” gesture and “I love you for that.”
Drake and Rihanna first sparked dating rumors in 2009. They have never confirmed whether they were ever officially together.
