Draya Michelle Issues 2nd Apology After Joking About Megan Thee Stallion’s Shooting Incident

Draya Michelle has issued a second apology after joking about Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting incident on July 12, which resulted in Tory Lanez’s arrest.

The “Say It” artist was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon, which was found in a vehicle at the scene of the shooting. The incident is still under investigation and neither Lanez nor Megan have spoken out about what exactly happened.

However, during a Wednesday appearance on the “Wine and Weed” podcast Draya joked about what she thought happened between Megan and Tory that led to the rapper being shot in the foot.

“I predict that they had some sort of Bobby and Whitney love that drove them down this... type of road,” Draya told the host.

The “Basketball Wives” alum then suggested that the incident happened because Megan wanted to get out of the car and Lanez liked her so much that he stopped her by shooting her in the foot.

Draya went on to tell the host that she would appreciate it if someone loved her some much that they would shoot her in the foot to stop her from leaving.

On Thursday, Draya shared a post on her Instagram Story in which she apologized once again for her comments, which appeared to glorify domestic violence.

“I just want to take a min to address victims of domestic violence and abuse of any kind and just overall humans. I was wrong to insinuate that there is room for violence in loving relationships, or in any relationship for that matter. I was wrong to try to find humor or make light of the situation, and understand that my joking was damaging and hurtful,” she wrote.

“It was poor judgment, and I deeply regret it. This is a sincere apology from me to everyone. It is always my intention to uplift women, and especially black women through my platforms, my businesses, and my words.”

The reality star’s second apology comes after Megan took to Twitter to slam someone who joked about her shooting incident. Although Megan did not use Draya’s name in the tweet, fans believe the post was directed at the television personality.

In a second tweet, the rapper insisted that she would share her story when she’s ready.

Draya tweeted out her first apology on Wednesday following her appearance on the podcast. “I truly don’t glorify domestic violence... I was trying to say just love me deeply. But while trying to be funny, I offended many, including Meg. And I’m sorry,” she wrote.
