At the Drive-In Reunion in Time for Coachella 2012?

At the Drive-In are breaking their 11-year silence in a highly anticipated reunion that will apparently take place at Coachella 2012.

The rockers posted a cryptic tweet that has set their fans abuzz. ¡ ATTENTION ! To whom it may concern: AT THE DRIVE-IN will be breaking their 11 year silence THIS STATION IS ...NOW...OPERATIONAL.

Rumors of a potential reunion have been circulating for years, but dissolution of the band in 2001 that led most of its members to form new groups, left the chances of a real reunion very slim.

Band members Cedric Bizler-Zavala, Jim Ward, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, pail Hinokos and Tony Hajjar spilt into two separate bands, Spara and Mars Volta. They have also been undertaking solo gigs.

It seems despite problems within the band they have been trying to put their differences aside We've been making amends with a lot of the members and having some really good talks with them, Cedric Bixler-Zavala told Droened in Sound in 2009. We just have to iron out a lot of personal things. A lot of it we've dealt with already and I've apologized for a lot of things I've said and the way it ended. We'll see what happens.

Still,the effort may not be enough for a full-fledged reunio. The last time such rumors were circulated they were slammed by the band who claimed the rumors were mere projections by the media, according to Rolling Stone.

It's an old relationship. People would like to think of it as unfinished business because to them we went out when we were most popular, but that has nothing to do with the creative element. As far as the creative element went, it very much was finished business, the band told Rolling Stone
