Dropkick Murphys Singer, Ken Casey, Beats Up Fan Performing Nazi Salute On Stage [VIDEO]
The Dropkick Murphys honored their name last week.
The band’s singer and bassist, Ken Casey, noticed a fan performing a Nazi salute and beat him up using his fists and his instrument, the Brooklyn Vegan reports.
“As the band kicked into T.N.T. by AC/DC some moron started seig heiling (the nazi salute) in time to the beat,” a blogger for Rocks Off wrote. “[Casey] ran right over to the guy, smashed him in the face, took off his bass and hit him with that and then jumped on him and all out chaos ensued. We could only assume from our vantage point that said nazi got his ass kicked.”
The March 13 incident at a New York City concert was caught on camera and uploaded to YouTube.
It all went down on stage where fans were dancing with the band. Within a minute of the band playing the AC/DC hit, the fight began. Other bandmates and fans took notice. The song ended abruptly and Casey made his way to the microphone and yelled to the crowd, “Nazis are not fucking welcome at a Dropkick Murphys show!"
This was the second high-profile Nazi gesture performed last week.
Greek soccer player, Giorgos Katidis, was banned from Greece’s National Team after performing a Nazi salute after he scored a goal.
