A drunk woman was arrested Tuesday when police arrived at her home in South Carolina after receiving a domestic dispute call. Union police said the woman, who was naked at the time of the arrest, attacked her husband with a glass jar after he denied her to drive to an air-conditioned hotel.

Police arrived at the home on Briarwood Lane and found the man bleeding from his head while his heavily intoxicated wife was lying naked on the floor. The male victim had blood running down his face from a wound on his head.

The man told officers he got into an argument with his wife after she complained the air-conditioning unit was not working. As the house was getting hot, the woman said she would drive off with their children to an air-conditioned hotel. When the man stopped his intoxicated wife from driving off, she attacked him with a glass candle jar, local media reported.

Police said they told her to put on clothes a number of times as “her speech was slurred and she smelled like alcohol,” TV station WYFF reported.

Police arrested Leanne Teague, 28, and charged her with domestic violence. During questioning, the woman initially said she did not remember anything that had happened between her and her husband. However, she later told police she had shared a bottle of wine with her husband before trying to go to a Quality Inn. But the man told officers she “was drinking vodka and orange juice heavily,” as the home got hotter with no air conditioner.

Teague was booked in Union County Detention Center and her bond was set at $2,500, according to the records.
