Dua Lipa went daring as she rang in 2023 with an attention-grabbing New Year's Eve look.

On Sunday, the 27-year-old singer took to Instagram to showcase her sultry outfit when she attended a glitzy New Year's Eve party. Lipa uploaded snaps and video clips showing off her sparkly silver dress by Ludovic de Saint Sernin.

The figure-hugging dress was made of iridescent material, making it eye-catching. Its halter neckline and backless design also added character to the outfit. However, its standout feature was the low cut on its back that exposed Lipa's white thong, according to Us Weekly.

The "Levitating" hitmaker extended her well-wishes to her fans by writing in the caption, "2023 — Happy New Year — wishing you peace, love, health and happiness for this year ahead."

However, not everyone was pleased with the pop star's outfit. Many called her out on Twitter when she shared the same post on the microblogging site.

"I love your music, but I just feel your outfit looks like your dress is torn. Not your best look," one fan wrote.

Meanwhile, many came to Lipa's defense since they did not see anything bad with her outfit. Some pointed out that it's already 2023 and not the '70s when women dressed conservatively.
