‘Duck Dynasty’ Stars Willie And Korie Robertson Introduce New Adopted Son [PHOTO]
The Robertson clan is growing! Korie Robertson, one of the stars of A&E's "Duck Dynasty," recently announced that she and her husband Willie Robertson are in the process of adopting another son.
The 42-year-old didn't reveal her new son's name, but said on Instagram Sunday that the 13-year-old has been living with them since May.
"We are excited to be in the process of adopting a new son!” she wrote. “He’s been with us since May, but we wanted some privacy and time for him and our family to bond before telling the world. (It’s a big adjustment coming into this big, crazy family, ha).”
She continued, “He’s amazing, and we are all so thrilled to have another kid around the house."
Korie and Willie's new son will be the second adopted child for the couple. They adopted their son Will Jr., 13, when he was a baby and have a foster daughter named Rebecca Lo Robertson. The reality stars are also parents to three biological kids – John Luke, 20, Sadie, 18, and Bella, 13.
In November, Willie opened up to Entertainment Tonight about raising a blended family and how they go about disciplining each child.
“Some of our kids are one way, some of them were hard-headed, some of them were not,” he said. “Some of them were super sensitive, so you have to take all of that into effect. I could look at Sadie one way, and she would start crying – like that – it wasn’t a spanking or anything like that, she was so sensitive. And John Luke was very hard-headed, and his brother, Will, was very hard-headed.”
News of Willie and Korie's adoption comes just days after their oldest child, Rebecca Lo, announced she was engaged to John Reed Loflin.
The 27-year-old told Us Weekly following her surprise proposal that he popped the question while they were "treasure hunting" on the beach over the New Year's holiday.
“We had been walking searching for about an hour,” she said. “And I saw this beautiful swirly shell hidden in the sand, and the ring was also hiding in there, and he got on his one knee as I pulled the ring out, and he said, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you spend the rest of your life with me?’”
Rebecca Lo said she and her new fiancé are not in a rush to walk down the aisle because they want to "calmly plan everything."
