Dunkin' Beats Starbucks To Pumpkin Spice Season

It looks like Dunkin' has beat its coffee rival, Starbucks, to PSL – pumpkin spice latte – season by introducing its fall line-up of pumpkin-inspired drinks ahead of the chain.

While it is still unclear when Starbucks will launch its pumpkin spice latte and other fall beverages, Dunkin's pumpkin drinks will officially launch on Aug. 17.

Included in Dunkin's fall line-up are the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, and Nutty Pumpkin Coffee, as well as a series of pumpkin bakery items.

The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew will make a reappearance this year, featuring a slow-steeped cold brew with notes of brown sugar and fall spices, topped with pumpkin cream cold foam and cinnamon sugar.

The Pumpkin Spice Signatures is also a classic that will return for the fall season as both an iced or hot drink. It has sweet pumpkin and vanilla flavors, along with warming spices that are combined with espresso and milk, topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and cinnamon sugar.

New for fall 2022 is the Nutty Pumpkin Coffee, which is Dunkin's Original Blend Iced Coffee with pumpkin spice swirl, hazelnut flavor shot, and cream. It is available hot or iced.

The pumpkin bakery line is full of pumpkin flavors with a glazed pumpkin cake donut, pumpkin Munchkin donut hole treats, and pumpkin muffins with streusel and white icing available.

Also returning for fall is the Maple Sugar Bacon, and new this year is the Blood Orange Dunkin Refresher – a seasonal citrus beverage that has tart cranberry and blood orange flavors as well as fall spices such as ginger and cinnamon chilled over ice and made with either green tea or coconut milk.

"We see Dunkin' fans' anticipation of fall grow more and more each year. This season, we're bringing them a line-up that's sure to delight even our most passionate and excited fall enthusiasts," Jill Nelson, vice president, Marketing and Culinary at Dunkin', said in a statement.

All fall items are only available at Dunkin' coffee shops for a limited time.

Through Sept. 13, Dunkin is offering a medium Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew or Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte for $3.
