Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme Give Out Free Donuts on National Donut Day

Today, June 3rd, is the Donut Day and local Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme stores are giving out free donuts throughout the entire day.

At Krispy Kreme shop every customer will get a free donut without any other purchase. Krispy Kreme tweeted its offer to its 8,000 followers on Twitter.

However, at Dunkin Donuts, customer have to buy a beverage to get a free donut. (Other than bottle of soda and cool drinks)

Dunkin' Donuts is also running a trivia contest on Twitter to tie in with the event. The winner will get a $50 Dunkin Donuts gift cards.

Dunkin' Donuts has 3.5 million Facebook Fans.

National Donut Day is on the first Friday of June every year. The event began by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who gave out donuts to soldiers during World War I.

A Lot of American donuts stores participate on this event and give out free donuts on National Donut Day.
