Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was forced to rip off his front gate with his own hands when it wouldn't open — because he had to go to work.

On Friday, Sept. 18, Johnson shared a photo on Instagram of the situation in front of his home in which his gate can be seen on the ground. In his lengthy caption, the "Fast and Furious" star explained why he was forced to take matters into his own hands.

"Not my finest hour, but a man’s gotta go to work. We experienced a power outage due to severe storms, causing my front gate not to open," he wrote. "I tried to override the hydraulic system to open the gates, which usually works when power goes out - but this time it wouldn’t."

Johnson called gate technicians to ask when they could fix the issue. But after learning that it would take roughly 45 minutes, he decided to tear down his front gate as he did not want the film crew to wait for him.

"By this time, I know I have hundreds of production crew members waiting for me to come to work so we can start our day," he shared. "So I did what I had to do. I pushed, pulled and ripped the gate completely off myself. Tore it out of the brick wall, severed the steel hydraulics and threw it on the grass."

Johnson was later told by his security team that the gate technicians and welders who later arrived were "in disbelief and equally scared" when they saw his front gate.

The actor reiterated that it was not his finest hour but joked that he is ready to be "Black Adam.”

Johnson's post, which has garnered 4.7 million likes, got a lot of attention from his followers and fellow celebrities. Ryan Reynolds joked that the gate "opened the OTHER way," while Josh Brolin simply commented, "Hahahahahah."

"The gate's final words were, 'not like this....' *beeeeeeeeeeeeep* *flatline*," Tony Baker wrote.

Last month, Johnson spoke about the significance of "Black Adam" in the DC Universe during the DC FanDome event. According to him, superheroes exhibit a little bit of restraint, but his titular antihero character doesn't do the same, making him "very dangerous and very likable."

"That combination makes him explosive, very dangerous and very likable, at least to me," Johnson said of his character. "He's a ruthless keeper of justice. He is the judge, the jury and executioner."
