KEY POINTS

  • Lieutenant Eric Fields is already quite popular on social media
  • Dwayne Johnson will be next seen in the "Red Notice" movie
  • The actor is currently working on the superhero flick, "Black Adam"

Dwayne Johnson was stunned after learning there is someone in the police force who looks exactly like him.

The 49-year-old actor responded to the lookalike cop, Alabama’s Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Lieutenant Eric Fields' photo and wrote on Twitter Tuesday, "Oh sh-t! Wow. Guy on the left is way cooler."

"Stay safe brother and thank you for your service," Johnson added. "One day we’ll drink @Teremana and I need to hear all your 'Rock stories' because I KNOW you got ‘em _____ #ericfields."

One of the fans took to the comments section and shared a photo of the actor and the cop in the same pose.

Another fan commented, "Seriously you should bring him on as a stunt double. Impossible to find a better look alike. At the very least, live up to that promised drink. I'm sure he gets a lot of guff from everyone for looking like the famous guy."

One of the users suggested getting a DNA test done, "But like seriously did you guys do ancestry DNA just in case? Cause that would be pretty funny if you were really long-lost cousins or something."

Interestingly, even before Johnson acknowledged the lookalike photo on Twitter, Fields was already quite popular. Last week, the Morgan County Sheriff's Office shared a post on Facebook featuring Officer Fields with a fan, who wanted to meet "The Rock" lookalike.

"This gentlemen recently ran into our Sgt. Mason and informed him he wanted to meet our Deputy that people say looks like "The Rock," they captioned the photo.

"Sgt. Mason passed that along and Lieutenant Fields was happy to swing by the Hartselle Wal-mart to see him," they added. "Tyler is one of their many hard workers and it was great to meet him and some of his coworkers!"
