‘DWTS’ 2019 Winner Predictions: Which Season 28 Pair Will Win Mirrorball Trophy?
The final four couples have been decided on “Dancing With the Stars,” and one will take home the title of Season 28 champs and the Mirrorball Trophy. The question is, however, which team will it be?
While the ABC series had another season that seemed a bit unpredictable at times, the final four teams—Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko (Team TonkyHonk), Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten (Team AlanbamaHannah), Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson (TeamDanceWitKel) and Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber (Team Time2Shine) --are all ones that seemed like fits for the finals early on. All four have a chance at winning the title with their various strengths and weaknesses. However, when all of the teams are compared side-by-side, two, in particular, seem to be most likely to take home the title.
It seems most likely that either Hannah and Alan or Kel and Witney will be the ones who will call themselves the Season 28 “Dancing With the Stars” champions.
While neither Kel nor Hannah have been obvious front-runners all season, the two have managed to be among the highest average scoring couples, with only fellow finalist Ally Brooke beating them out with the judges. However, while the judges previously have had say in who would be in the competition going forward by determining who was eliminated from the Bottom Two, the winner of the season will ultimately be decided the way the show usually determines results. Winners will be crowned after viewer votes and the judges’ scores from the final performances are factored together. Because of that, Hannah seems to have the highest chance of winning.
Though she isn’t the highest scorer overall, and has yet to get an elusive perfect 30, Hannah has the best track record when it comes to fan votes. Of all the finalists, she has never once landed in the Bottom Two, which implies her fan base has been helping to carry her through each week and keep her out of danger. If they turn up for her again in the finale, and she manages to really impress the judges, then she will be unstoppable.
Similarly, Kel, who while he has a lower average score than Hannah has been faring better with the judges in recent weeks, also has a better track record than Lauren and Ally when it comes to the Bottom Two. He hasn’t been there since Week 3, of the competition, when he was also not doing as well score-wise. While Lauren has also only been there once as well, it was much more recently, which implies his fans have been doing a little more voting in recent weeks. As for Ally, she has been saved from elimination three times, which doesn’t bode well for her in the finals, because even with perfect scores, she will need votes is she wants to win.
Of course, Ally and Lauren shouldn’t be counted out completely, as both singers have good scores on their sides and likely strong enough fanbases that want them to win. In addition, they, as well as Hannah, also have another potential advantage over Kel, with pro partners who are overdue for their own Mirrorball wins.
The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 28 finale airs Monday, Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
