DWTS' Jenna Johnson And Val Chmerkovskiy Reveal Son's Name A Month After Birth
"Dancing with the Stars" alum Jenna Johnson, who gave birth to her first baby with her husband Val Chmerkovskiy in January, finally revealed the newborn's name.
Aside from revealing the name of their cute baby boy, the new mom also shared the first photo of their baby.
"Rome Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Cannot believe it's been 4 weeks of being completely infatuated with you. Thank you for bursting my heart wide open and showing me what unconditional love is. Mommy and Daddy love you so much!!!! **the left dimple melts me every time," Johnson captioned her Instagram post alongside a photo of Rome who is clad in a white shirt and burnt orange outfit.
Friends and supporters of the couple flocked to the comments section and commented on how adorable baby Rome is.
"DWTS" professional dancer and digital creator of Dancing with the Stars Pro Workout Program Lindsay Arnold wrote, "sweet boy I love you so much!!!!!!"
Fellow ballroom dancer Witney Carson gushed, "CANNOT HANDLE HIM! Love you Rome!" A troupe member from the show, Hayley Erbert also commented, "Ahhhhh he is so perfect!!"
Johnson and Chmerkovskiy welcomed their firstborn on Jan. 10.
A week later, Johnson opened up about her labor and delivery journey saying it was a mix of "excitement, fear, pure exhaustion, and so much love."
"I've always appreciated my body and what it's been able to help me do and create within my craft... but nothing can prepare you for what a miraculous vessel it is and what it goes through during labor," she wrote in a Jan. 23 post. "About 30 hours of it and we finally got to meet our sweet bubba."
At the end of her note, Johnson appreciated the support her husband gave her throughout her pregnancy journey. "Forever grateful I had the best support system to get me through," she wrote.
Johnson and Chmerkovskiy exchanged vows in 2019 and announced the baby news in July 2022.
"We had actually stopped trying to conceive for about 6 months to mentally/emotionally give ourselves a break... so the shock, disbelief, and sheer joy in this moment is a memory I will never forget," Johnson wrote at the time.
