‘DWTS’ Predictions: Which Season 28 Pair Will be Eliminated In Week 6?
Disney night may have spared the remaining nine teams competing on Season 28 of “Dancing With the Stars,” but that reprieve won’t last forever, and when the competition comes to a close during Week 6, another team will have to say goodbye to their hopes of winning the Mirrorball Trophy.
Disney magic overtook the Ballroom during Week 5, finally bringing about the first scores featuring 9 paddles, but that also means the competition has officially reached its fiercest level yet on the ABC series. With an increased level of competition, that means things will officially heat up more than ever, and for teams that have struggled, the time may come where they’ll be left behind if they don’t impress both the live viewing audience and the judges’ panel.
While some teams seem to have a high chance of coming back in Week 7, like Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber, James Van Der Beek and Emma Slater and Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson, others don’t seem to have quite as certain of a future. Whether they’re not thoroughly impressing the judges or failing to capture America’s hearts, these teams seem to have the highest chance of being eliminated during Week 6.
Despite usually being near the top of the judges’ leaderboard, #Team Tonkeyhonk has now found themselves closer to the bottom when it comes to where the judges are ranking them, earning only 23 points during Disney Night—a night where six other teams scored 24 or higher, with four of those achieving at least one 9. While Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko likely have a decent fan base that should get them through, if they can’t break ahead of the other teams who managed to best them during Disney Night, they could see their competition over faster than they imagined.
When it comes to scores from the judges, #TeamSweetandSpicey has struggled the most amongst the remaining teams. Sean Spicer and Lindsay Arnold still have a lot of work to do if they want to seem as impressive as the rest of the competition, and while he too also has a strong fan base, one which will likely continue to push him through for a while, if he can’t keep up with the rest of the other teams, it will eventually start to work against him.
However, when it comes to a team that seems most in jeopardy, it seems likely that a Mirrorball trophy isn’t in Karamo and Jenna Johnson’s futures. Though he managed to have a breakthrough in his scores in Week 4, and he once again managed to get 7’s for his Samba, #TeamJeranamo may be steadily improving—but too slowly. In addition, he managed to land in the Bottom Two once before and was saved, but if he lands there again, he likely won’t get a second save unless Sean and Lindsay are the other team there. As a result, this pair could be the ones that will say goodbye after Week 6.
“Dancing With the Stars” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
