‘DWTS’ Predictions: Which Season 30 Pair Will Be Eliminated On ‘Britney’ Night?
Season 30 of “Dancing With the Stars” is already off to a strong and surprising start with several teams showing they have what it takes to win the Mirrorball, as another faces a surprising fate thank to COVID-19 diagnoses.
The third week of competition, which will see the remaining 14 teams tackle routines honoring the music of Britney Spears, will be unlike any that have been seen before on the show. Not only was the lowest scoring team eliminated in week 2, but one team will be competing virtually, after Cheryl Burke and Cody Rigsby both tested positive for COVID-19, forcing them to stay out of the ballroom and other rehearsal spaces until they are both recovered. Now, with the pressure on in more than one location, the teams will need to pull out all the stops if they want to stay in the competition.
Of course, some stars, like Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten, Jojo Siwa and Jenna Johnson and Melanie C and Gleb Savchenko, who were the top three on the leader board of the ABC show, seem more likely to make it through to week four. However, three other teams sem to have less certain fates.
While scores for week 3 and viewer votes still need to be factored in prior to the next elimination and could change things, there are definite signs that one of these pairs may be tangoing their way out of the studio.
For the second week in a row, “Bachelor” Matt James has not impressed the judges as much as his fellow competitors, earning only 22 points for his Samba routine. While he likely will still be safe for a bit because of the power of “Bachelor” nation voters, his time in the competition could be cut short at a later date.
Sizzling chemistry is proving to be a problem for Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess. The real-life couple is certainly bringing their feelings and emotions to the dance floor, and their passion is being felt—but the judges have repeatedly called out different parts of the “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor’s technique and warned him he needs to pull his gaze from his girlfriend a little more. Still, fans seem to love the pair, so they too should be safe for another week.
Unfortunately for Pasha Pashkov, he may find himself on a streak of being the second eliminated pro of the season, after being the second one cast off with Carole Baskin in Season 29. His new partner, “Bling Empire” star Christine Chiu has impressed the judges—but it doesn’t seem fans are as enamored by her. The pair was in the Bottom Two last week, and only stayed in the competition because of the Judges’ save. If fans still aren’t turning up for her, the pair could be the next ones to go.
“Dancing With the Stars” will air on Monday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
