‘DWTS’ Predictions: Which Team Will Be Eliminated Before Semi-Finals?
Following the ouster of Kate Flannery and Pasha Pashkov and the continued presence of Sean Spicer and Lindsay Arnold and in the “Dancing With the Stars” Season 28 competition, things seem more than ever like it could be anyone’s Mirrorball to win on the ABC show.
After the former White House Press Secretary was the first one called safe after Dance-Off night, it was clear from the shock on everyone in the ballroom’s faces that it was clear a team who had at one point or another been at the top of the leaderboard was going home. Considering Ally Brooke, who had the first perfect score of the season, was also in the bottom two, it is clearer than ever that the teams need all of their fans to vote for them since the scores themselves aren’t going to save them.
Theoretically, certain teams who are scoring well with the judges and being saved each week, like James Van Der Beek and Emma Slater, should be safe going into the semi-finals, but things don’t necessarily seem as clear for some of the other pairs. Here are the teams who stand the highest chance of being eliminated.
Though it appears his fans are intent on getting him as far as possible, there may be enough backlash against Sean Spicer now that could force voters to turn out in droves to vote against him. With a smaller competition field now and fewer people to divide their votes against, there is a better chance those angry over his presence could get him into the Bottom Two—and a guaranteed elimination. However, since he does have a fan base that doesn’t seem to quit, he could still make it to the semi-finals.
Someone else who could be at risk for the first time in the competition is Lauren Alaina, who has managed to stay out of the Bottom Two throughout the competition. However, of the remaining teams, she and Gleb Savchenko tend to get the lowest scores from the judges (outside of Sean). If her fan base fails to come through, she could see her time in the competition come to a close.
However, sadly, despite being what seemed like a sure front-runner, Ally’s time on the competition may be the one that comes to an end. While she’s definitely someone the judges love, as evidenced by the scores she has been earning on her routines, her Harmonizers have failed to show up for her twice, landing her in the Bottom Two in two different weeks now. If she winds up there again, even though the judges like her, they may feel the time to listen to the fans will come and could tell her to hang up her dancing shoes for good.
“Dancing With the Stars” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
