E3 2015 wrapped up in Los Angeles Thursday, and while there were no stunning hardware debuts, newly released, sequel and rebooted games dominated the expo. The biggest gaming announcements came from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo , and some of their new offerings are available to play by the end of the year.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake: A surprise announcement at E3, the FF7 remake trailer shows that the development is in the hands of the original games’ key members, which is a relief for fans everywhere. While not many details were announced other than that it is happening (which is huge news in itself since it’s been 18 years since the last one), we can only imagine with the update in graphics that this will be a massive hit. Platforms: PlayStation 4 (Other platforms will most likely follow after), Price: TBD, Release date: TBD (Most likely in 2017 for the 20 year anniversary).

Shenmue 3: Fans have been hoping for this one for over a decade now and it’s finally happening. The game is in development, but has been fully funded through a Kickstarter campaign and is expected at the end of 2017. Based off the teaser trailer from E3 it will be set in China and you can collect technique scrolls through mini games to gain instant mastery of an ability, which is getting us excited even though it’s a long way off. Platforms: PlayStation 4, Price: TBD (Although based off the Kickstarter we’d estimate around $30 for a digital copy and $60 for a physical copy), Release date: Estimated December 2017

Have you ever wanted to see just what Mario is capable of? Now you can. With Super Mario Maker the customization options are endless, stack enemies on top of each other or have Mario flying around on a cloud throwing things at Goombas while dodging traps. The best part is that players can share their custom levels with each other and you can choose from four themes, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. Horizon: Zero Dawn: Set after the Apocalypse, players follow the character Aloy through a stunning open-world RPG. Sony showed a gameplay trailer at E3 in which the world as we know it has transformed into a beautiful landscape, rich with detail – and awesome robot dinosaurs of every shape and size imaginable, which you can hunt using Aloy’s bow. The serious attention to detail and graphics make this a definite must. Platforms: PlayStation 4, Price: TBD, Release date: 2016

Fallout 4: After seven years of anticipation it’s finally here.

The Last Guardian: First revealed in 2009 this game has had a troubled developmental stage, almost getting shut down a number of times. At E3 Sony finally announced that it will be released next year, showing a gameplay trailer that didn’t give away much of the plotline but blew us away with its stunning visuals.
