Electronic Arts has a lot of surprises in store for gamers of all ages. These include new titles, new projects regarding existing franchises, and even the return of old favorites that made players happy in the past years.

In a recent earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson said the game company knows that “the world loves to play games.” People, he said, love the “social connection” that games bring -- the ability that games have to connect with players and inspire them to “be part of a shared experience.” Wilson said EA wants to use new ways to engage with gamers in an attempt to lead the gaming industry.

A lot of projects

Wilson said “great games” are needed to meet the needs and demands of the “global player base.” AS such, the company will continue to “invest across our portfolio” so that it can create the kind of video game experiences players all over the world seek.

The EA CEO then said the company has a lot of titles and projects in the works, so that meet players’ needs. Here’s what he said:

“Our pipeline is full of innovative new projects for our current franchises, new IP and plans to revisit some of our fan favorite brands as we continually work to bring more high-quality games to our players across a growing number of platforms and devices.”

Based on Wilson’s words, here’s what players can expect from EA:

  • Existing titles will be improved

Wilson said EA has “new projects” for “current franchises.” This means current titles like “Apex Legends,” “Anthem,” “Battlefield,” “The Sims” and more are likely to have updates, additional DLCs, sequels, and the like.

  • New titles will be added to EA’s roster

The CEO also said there’s “new IP” in EA’s pipeline. This means EA is likely working on new unannounced titles and projects. Whatever these titles may be, they can be expected to arrive in the future, and will be playable on a variety of platforms including mobiles.

  • Old favorites will be brought back to life

Lastly, Wilson said EA plans to “revisit some of our favorite fan brands.” Perhaps, titles like “Crysis,” “Dead Space,” “Command & Conquer,” “Kingdoms Of Amalur,” Medal Of Honor” and more will be rebooted, remastered, or remade a la Square Enix’s “Final Fantasy VII Remake.”
