Earnings Preview: Zynga Inc (ZNGA), General Motors Company (GM), Starbucks Corporation (SBUX), Amazon.com Inc (AMZN)
At the peak of the second-quarter earnings season for a second week, eight companies in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:.DJI) and 156 firms in the S&P 500 (INDEXSP:.INX) are scheduled to report earnings July 22-26.
Online social-gaming stock Zynga Inc. has had a tough ride since its December 2011 initial public offering. While Zynga’s shares have risen by more than 40 percent this year, the San Francisco-based company’s results Thursday will probably show it is still struggling with unprofitability and stagnant top-line growth.
Other companies on deck to report in the latter part of the week include Amazon.com, Bristol-Myers Squibb, General Motors and Starbucks.
We ran a screen and produced a list of 32 notable companies set to report earnings on Thursday (July 25) and Friday (July 26).
